Recently elected University Research Council (URC) chair, Dr. Meghan Starbuck is an outstanding professor at the Department of Economics and International Business with a passion for teaching and research.
Dr. Starbuck will lead this stand-alone council established to foster research at New Mexico State University. Its role is to assist the Vice President for Research, Graduate Studies, and International Programs, and the Executive Vice President regarding research affairs at the university. Its goals are to increase research and creative activities, improve the institutional environment for research, strengthen the interdependence between research areas and creative activities, and to increase public awareness of NMSU research.
