Our vision…

…is to be a premier College of Business in the Southwest. We think that you will find this to be an exciting place to earn a graduate or undergraduate degree.

Our mission

…is to serve the educational needs of New Mexico’s diverse population by providing high quality education, conducting research, and participating in service and outreach within the global community.

Our college…

…meets the rigorous accreditation standards required by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premier accrediting agency and service organization for business schools worldwide. We are one of a relatively few colleges with accreditation of both undergraduate and graduate business and accounting programs. AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Our accreditation gives you an edge and you will receive top value for your education dollars. You may also have broader career choices, nationally and internationally, because of the breadth and scope of instruction and experience in your college education.

StudentsOur students…

…are active, engaged and involved in the university, the community and the state. They are leaders of student government, founders and organizers of student groups, and recipients of awards and honors. We encourage you to take advantage of opportunities for co-ops and internships, and prepare you for careers in industry, small business, government and the not-for-profit sectors. Many national, international, state and regional employers regularly recruit business majors from NMSU.

In addition to financial assistance available through NMSU, our college offers a number of scholarships made available through the generosity of donors to the college.

Faculty & StudentsOur faculty…

…enjoy teaching and interacting with students. Many of our professors have received state, regional, national and international recognition for their teaching and research. Our distance education courses in business are taught by the same faculty who teach traditional courses at NMSU’s main campus in Las Cruces, NM.

Our deans are dedicated to making your college experience one that will help you live, learn and thrive.

The College of Business is located in two buildings on the edge of the NMSU campus: Guthrie Hall and the Business Complex. Both buildings feature faculty offices and technology-equipped classrooms.
