Using Twitter in Class
Overview
STUDENTS: Use Twitter in your MKTG303 class to ask your instructor questions via your laptop, cellphone or iPhone (via mobile Twitter) during class.
Follow the instructions below to set up your laptop or cell phone.
INSTRUCTORS: If you would also like to use Twitter in your class, the following instructions will need to be changed.
Set up Your Laptop
- Create a Twitter account if you do not have one.
- TWEET! Now you can tweet your MKTG 303 instructor.
Tweet @mktg303 from your Laptop
- Login at Twitter.com.
- After you log in, you’ll see the What are you doing? box.
- What are you doing? changes to Reply to mktg303 as soon as you type @mktg303 in the box.
- Continue typing your question.
- This is how your tweet should look: @mktg303 Your question goes here.
- Click Reply to send the question to your instructor.
Set up Your Cellphone
If you already have a device added to your Twitter account, skip to step 6.
- Create a Twitter account if you do not have one.
- Go to Twitter Devices ยป. You may be asked to login.
- Add your phone number.
- Save.
- Text the green text you see to Twitter’s phone number (shortcode) 40404 to verify your device.
- You will receive a reply text from Twitter (shortcode 40404).
Tweet @mktg303 from your Phone
- Send a Text (tweet) to 40404.
