MBA Students Planning to Graduate in December 2009
If you are completing your MBA degree requirements during the fall 2009 semester, you will need to apply for your degree. Applying for the degree is necessary regardless of your plans concerning participation in the commencement ceremony.
- You can find more information online at http://www.nmsu.edu/~registra/degdate.html
- Please note: if you apply for your degree this semester and do not complete the degree requirements, you will need to reapply (including paying the application fee) for the semester when you do complete the program.
Reorganization
Effective August 13, 2009, the College of Business reorganized the undergraduate advising center and the administration of the MBA program. Kathy Brook, Associate Dean for academics, is currently serving as the advisor for the MBA program. She is assisted in the MBA office in GU 114 by Candle Turner and Jewel McKinney. Candle has recently returned to the MBA office as a Graduate Assistant, having worked for two MBA directors as a student employee. Jewel has just started work in the office as a student employee. They will be able to assist with many questions.
- Kathy Brook can be reached at 575-646-4905 or kbrook@nmsu.edu and is available on a walk-in basis or by appointment most days. She can frequently be reached by phone after 7 a.m. and on Mondays and Wednesdays until about 5:45 p.m. Contact Yolanda Sanchez, her secretary, at 575-646-5431 or ysanchez@nmsu.edu for appointments.
- A faculty committee has been formed to review applications for admission to the program and to review the criteria for admissions. As has been the case for many years, the Graduate Committee is a standing committee in the College of Business which is responsible for policy issues relating to the MBA program.
- We will be using the MBA web page at http://business.nmsu.edu/academics/mba/ and @nmsu.edu email addresses for communications with students. Under NMSU policy, @nmsu.edu email addresses are an official means of communications with students. Please check your email regularly.
