Agribusiness Specialization

Degree Plan/Application for Candidacy

If you have not taken a course in Agricultural Policy, you will need to take AEEC 545 (Advanced Agricultural Policy) prior to taking the five Specialization courses mentioned below.

Students specializing in agribusiness must take the following five 3-hour courses in substitution of five of the courses included in the basic MBA degree program.

The five three-hour courses that are included in Specialization in Agribusiness coursework are:

  • AEEC 511 Advanced Futures and Options Markets
  • AEEC 520 International Agricultural Trade Theory and Policy
  • AEEC 551 Advanced Agribusiness Marketing
  • AEEC 556 Management of Agribusiness Firms
  • AEEC 585 Production Economics

The five three-hour courses included in the basic MBA degree program that are not included in Specialization in Agribusiness coursework are:

  • ECON 503 Managerial Economics
  • FIN 502 Financial Statement Analysis
  • MGT 502 Operations Management
  • MGT 512 Quantitative Analysis for Business Decisions
  • MKTG 503 Marketing Management
