Steps to Becoming a Golf Professional

Step 1

1. Complete NMSU curriculum and 16 months of internship/co-op requirements.
2. Complete Levels 1, 2 and 3 of NMSU’s PGA Golf Management Program.
3. Pass the Playing Ability Test (PAT).

1. Be eligibly employed.

1. Earn a Class A Membership: Class A-8 to Class A-1. Member classification will vary depending upon the position held when membership is obtained.
