Team Rankings
Overview
The NMSU Stock Market Game⢠is using the Portfolio Competition Rules to promote the use of portfolios that use stocks, mutual funds, and bonds to build diversified portfolios suitable for long-run investing,
In order to be eligible for awards, portfolios must meet specified bounds on the volatility of their returns. Two categories of awards are possible, and rankings will be displayed for each category. The two categories are:
- Portfolio Equity Value Rank. Based on a ranking of all eligible portfolios by their equity values
- Portfolio Efficiency Rank. Based on a ranking of all eligible portfolios by the ratio of their return from the initial $100,000 to the annualized volatility of their returns.
Volatility is calculated as the standard deviation of the daily returns and then annualized.
Check the NYSE for daily market activity.
