Branding (NMSU Brand ID Program)

How to use the elements of the brand (logo and slogan, colors, typeface and photography) in a coordinated manner in print, electronic, and Web publications.

Security Incidents

To address security incidents, ICT has formed a first-level Security Response Team that serves as a resource for campus network security.

Mediasite Presentations

  • MediaSite is an application for recording and archiving classroom lectures. Contact Classroom Technology, 646-2360. Need Microsoft Silverlight to view the presentations.

Event Planning & Registration

University Policy requires most events (on or off campus) sponsored by student organizations and/or university departments be authorized through the activity registration process. The ACTIVITY REGISTRATION FORM should be completed by student organizations and/or NMSU Departments when the majority of the attendees will be NMSU students and staff. Depending on the complexity of the event, authorization could require up to 2 weeks to complete.

Flight Operations

Jan 28, 2009: University Flight Operations has a new phone number and a new website.

The new number is the same as the old campus number, but with a different off-campus exchange: 575-527-UFLY (8359).

The new website address is http://ufo.nmsu.edu/. The website has all the information you need to make a reservation, determine the cost, and where to find us at the airport.

The email address ufo@nmsu.edu is the preferred method for reserving the aircraft, and our email reply is your confirmation that the flight has been reserved. The “Reservations and Boarding” page on our website describes the information needed to reserve the aircraft.

All reservations are subject to the scheduling policy contained in the University Flight Operations Policy Manual.

Office of Facilities Administration and Services

Previously known as the Office of Facilities and Services (OFS) and as the Physical Plant Department (PPD): Responsible for maintaining the buildings and infrastructure, including electricity, plumbing, air-conditioning, and heating.

Ombudsman

Provost/Executive Vice-President

Dr. Robert D. Moulton became interim executive vice president and provost at New Mexico State University in August 2008. He has served as dean in the NMSU College of Education since July of 2000 and will return to that post when his service to the provost’s office has ended.

Scholarships

NMSU

Form: NMSU: Banner Details for New/Existing Scholarships. The Office of Financial Aid now requires this form to be submitted for any new scholarships. The form will need to be submitted prior to awarding the scholarship for the first time. If the form is not received prior to Financial Aid processing the Scholarship Authorization Form, the awards are not posted into the student’s account until the form is received. Training

Hotline, Aug. 31, 2009: Human Resource Services (HRS) Training and Development and  ICT Training Services have merged to form the Center for Learning & Professional Development. They will continue to offer the same services and a variety of training opportunities related to business processes, educational technologies and professional development.

The Teaching Academy. NMSU’s Teaching Academy supports teachers, enhances learning, and builds community by serving all NMSU educators through training, mentoring, and networking. Membership in the Teaching Academy is available to all NMSU educators.
