Mission Statement

The Business Advisory Council is a proactive organization dedicated to helping the College of Business at New Mexico State University become a premier choice school for undergraduate & graduate business education among students and employers by 2012.

Membership Requirements

The Business Advisory Council membership is comprised of:

  • Local, regional, national & international business leaders
  • Alumni from the NMSU College of Business
  • Friends of NMSU and/or the College of Business
  • College of Business Hall of Fame Members
  • Parents of College of Business students

BAC members are asked to contribute a minimum of $500.00 per year to the College of Business. These contributions are placed in an unrestricted account for use by the Dean to promote the College of Business, increase alumni giving, provide student support and fund academic needs throughout the College. Contributions are due & payable by July 31st of each year. Member dues are three-tiered:

  • Gold: $1,000+
  • Silver: $501 to $999
  • Bronze: $500


Meeting Dates

Active BAC members are asked to attend the two regularly scheduled meetings each year:

  • On the fourth Friday of every March
  • On the fourth Friday of every September
