About Kenneth Martin
Dr. Kenneth J. Martin is a Regents Professor of Finance in the College of Business at New Mexico State University. He was named the 2012 New Mexico Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
He received his Ph.D. in Finance from Purdue University in 1987 and joined the faculty at NMSU in 1995. Dr. Martin teaches courses in corporate financial management, investment analysis, and financial information technology.
His research interests include executive compensation, corporate control and governance, the impact of mergers and acquisitions on shareholder wealth, and venture capital investment.
He is also the current director of NMSU’s Student-Managed Investment Fund.
