About Harikumar Sankaran
Dr. Sankaran received his Ph.D. from University of Houston, Texas, in 1987 and joined the faculty at NMSU in 2002.
He teaches corporate finance and investments. His research areas include CEO compensation, options and agency theory.
I came to this country on December 29, 1982, to pursue a PhD and an academic career in finance. Before coming to NMSU, I taught at the University of Houston, University of Miami, and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. My research and teaching interests include option pricing, capital structure, CEO compensation, corporate governance, and information and markets. I enjoy the process of discovery and dissemination of knowledge. (There are moments though!!)
