Professional Interests: Sales, sales management, small business, ethics in marketing, ecology and marketing interface. Professional Achievements: Professor Peterson is a past president of the Academy of Marketing Science. He held the Sunwest Distinguished Professor of Business at New Mexico State University and now holds the Wells Fargo Distinguished Professorship.
He is the author and co-author of a number of books including Marketing Concepts and Decision Making. His 187 refereed journal articles have appeared in such journals as the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Advertising, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Small Business Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of International Bank Marketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Product and Brand Management, and the Journal of Business Forecasting.
Dr. Peterson serves on the editorial review board of Industrial Marketing Management, the Business Journal, Journal of Applied Business Research, Review of Business, and Business Quest. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Peterson is past president of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
