Matching Funds

Overview

Many companies have “matching gift” programs to encourage employee philanthropy. When you donate, your gift could be matched dollar for dollar by a contribution from your employer, effectively increasing the value and recognition of your gift at no extra cost to you.

In 2006-2007 the state of New Mexico allocated $2,000,000 of matching funds to NMSU.

The College of Business has obtained state matching funds for $1,250,000 for two chairs and one professorship.
