If you are a freshman, sophomore or first-semester transfer student, we will advise you about business degrees until you complete the lower-division courses (numbered 100-299) for a major in the College of Business. Then you’ll be advised by a faculty member from the department of your major.
UPDATES and Information You Need
- Advising Issues-Oct. 23, 2009. Detailed information from Associate Dean Kathy Brook to all business students with instructions and updates for registration, courses, transfers, prerequisites, etc.
- Graduation Information: How/when to apply, deadlines, declaration/removal of minor, graduation ceremony, honors designations, Career Services.
- NMSU has mandatory placement guidelines for all math courses. This means you must establish that you meet the stated prerequisite in any math course for which you enroll. The Math Placement Exam helps you determine what courses you are eligible to take and how to change your placement level.
