Deadline: Applications are due by March 1 of each year
Scholarships are awarded for the following academic year. Scholarships are awarded based upon GPA, involvement in Gamma Iota Sigma, working in insurance, insurance internships, and enrollment in the Minor in Risk Management and Insurance. While GPA is important, the donors are interested in students’ extracurricular activities and career objectives. There is no minimum GPA. Insurance scholarships are not restricted to business majors.
Students must apply using NMSU’s online ScholarDollar$ application and indicate that they have an interest in a career in insurance.
