Nina Compton, professor of business law at New Mexico State University, is the university’s 2007 Westhafer Excellence in Teaching Award recipient.

Elise "Pookie" Sautter, a professor of marketing at New Mexico State University, has been selected as the 2005 New Mexico Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
