I am an educator and researcher in the field of economics with a specialty in macroeconomics, monetary theory and regional economics. My sub-specialty is the role of asymmetric information in economic development.

My main teaching interest lies in the area of Money and Banking, but I also frequently teach macro and micro theory. I am interested in border issues. And since 1993, I have maintained a forecasting model of the New Mexico economy. 

I have lectured in Mexico, India and the United States and I frequently speak before civic organizations and business groups. I consult in the area of insurance regulation.
