Hi Class,

Here are some final project ideas

1. On the page length. Usually your answers are about 7 to 10 pages, so that length seems good to me. 10 plus is OK, but no need to draw it out.  I did not need a really long piece, since 6 weeks is short, and you all have done such a terrific job already. But, do need to have the charts and costs and social performance areas explained. Stories always welcome.

2. Choice of project is up to you. Some groups are just doing the top and bottom clover (the 6 social performance areas and associated hidden costs). Some are throwing in a root cause chart. http://business.nmsu.edu/~dboje/sbc/pages/page2.html    Sample reports such as http://business.nmsu.edu/~dboje/teaching/448/index.htm  are from a semester long undergrad course project - so no need to do all the parts.

3. Project options - Choice will probably go to the one you all can organize around the best. There is a diagnostic survey (but do not ask everything - be selective) http//business.nmsu.edu/~dboje/sbc/pages/seamdiagnosis.html

4. If you all want to do something outside of SEAM that is OK. Just let me know. SEAM is a basic form of analysis, one that is not caught up in thinking about the cosmos or our archetypes. At the same time, I am trying to push the analysis into more postmodern waters. Actually root cause, is my own invention for looking at the inter-textuality among the social performance areas. But beyond this it is a basic engineers analysis.
