What is the International Fraternity of
Delta Sigma Pi?
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity
organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage
scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual
advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the
commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of
commercial ethics, and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the
community.
Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at the School of
Commerce, Accounts and Finance at New York University, New York, New York, and
has grown to nearly 250 chapters and over 160,000 initiates around the world.
Our Central Office , located in Oxford, Ohio, employs a full-time staff to handle the
operational and administrative functions for the fraternity. As well as a staff
of traveling consultants that assist chapters with their programs.
Epsilon Upsilon Chapter was founded at New Mexico
State University in 1963. Presently we have 50 active members and 13 faculty
members, including the Associate Dean of the College of Business,
Dr. Kathleen Brook and Dean of our college, and former Governor of New Mexico, Garrey E. Carruthers.
