The Marketing Department offers undergraduate courses in marketing leading to a Bachelor's Degree, with majors or options in Marketing, Transportation and Distribution, and Professional Golf Management. MBA students also take courses offered by marketing faculty. Ph.D. coursework includes a variety of Doctoral Seminars covering conceptual foundations of marketing and research methodology.

Professional Golf Management
The Professional Golf Management Program endorsed by the Professional Golfer's Association of America (PGA), provides students the opportunity to pursue a career as golf professionals. The program includes course work leading to a marketing major in business administration, 16 months of co-op education (on-the-job training) under the direct supervision of PGA class-A professional, and four PGA workshops. After graduation and completion of additional PGA requirements, students will be eligible to apply for PGA class-A membership.

To obtain a minor in marketing, a student (business or non-business students) must complete 18 or more credit hours in an approved plan of study in marketing. An approved minor degree application should be on file in the Department of Marketing office before the students takes any action toward completion of the marketing minor. A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 for the 18 credits must be earned.
The minor in marketing is designed to give flexibility to students. The minor can include up to two non-marketing courses in the College of Business Administration and Economic. For example, the marketing minor may include four (4) courses in marketing and two (2) in management and accounting or economics or finance, depending on the needs, desires and approval by the department chair. In addition, and upon approval, three of the 18 credits may be taken outside the College of Business and Economics. For example, a student may take five (5) marketing courses (15 credits) and one in the Department of Journalism (3 credits). The minor requires a minimum of 18 credits, 12 of which must be marketing courses.
