Mission of the NMSU PGA Golf Management Program: The PGA Golf Management program, accredited by The Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA), is a college degree program in Marketing designed to attract and educate bright, highly motivated men and women to service all aspects of this developing industry. This comprehensive degree program blends college/university requirements for a golf industry compatible major with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. PGA Golf Management (Marketing Option)
This specialization is offered through the Marketing Department.
The third in the nation to be endorsed by the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) in 1987, NMSU’s PGA Golf Management Program is one of a limited number of programs fully accredited and endorsed by the PGA.
Our 4½-year PGA Golf Management Program leads to a BBA with a major in Marketing and a specialization in Golf Management. We prepare graduates for careers as PGA members at various golf facilities and golf industry positions.
NMSU is one of the few PGA Golf Management universities to own a golf course. We’ve hosted numerous NCAA championships, Callaway PGA Junior Series tournaments, USGA and Section PGA Championships. NMSU conducts more than 50 PGA Golf Management sanctioned golf tournaments in an academic year, paying out more than $120,000 in scholarships, prize money and gift certificates.

Although not required, we highly recommend that you (and your family) visit NMSU and the PGA Golf Management office at some time prior to attending college. Tour the university, golf course, community, and meet with the Program’s Director, Golf Coach, and NMSU’s offices for housing, financial aid and admissions.
Our students have the opportunity to reside with other PGA Golf Management students at our on-campus LivingLearning Community.
