Megan C. Good

With a robust research stream in sales and ethics, Megan’s publications can be found in Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management and various national conference proceedings. Megan enjoys sharing her passions in marketing by teaching current and future business professionals Marketing Research, Personal Selling, Marketing Principles, plus an interest in teaching MBA-level marketing courses.

Megan worked for multiple international and national companies headquartered in Denver, CO. Her 5+ years of industry experiences (technology, telecommunication, healthcare, hotel hospitality) provide real-world examples and implications not only in her research, but also in her classroom. Additionally, commitment and dedication to her community is what motivates Megan to participate in various volunteer outreach programs and professional leadership societies.

Jiani Jiang
PhD Student, Marketing

Jiani Jiang is a doctoral student in the Marketing department at New Mexico State University. She holds an MBA from Bryant University, and a B.S. in Marketing from Roger Williams University. Her research interests include cross-cultural branding, fashion marketing particularly on luxury consumption, advertising, and social media marketing. Jiani has taught multiple marketing courses, including Internet/Social Marketing, Advertising Strategy, Retail Management, and International Marketing.

Jiani worked as an assistant director and helped launch a new international culture center that offered courses in multiple languages and cultures to children of Rhode Island with the goal of bilingualism. Jiani also consulted on several projects in the New England area, including a small-business penetration plan for Bank of America and a marketing data analysis for Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island. Outside of academics, Jiani enjoys travelling.

Siddeeq M. Shabazz

Entered PhD Program in 2015

Siddeeq joined the NMSU PhD program in Fall 2015. He received his BBA in Management with a minor in marketing. Siddeeq enjoyed an 8-year professional football career with success in the NFL, NFL Europe and CFL before retiring in 2011 to pursue his passion for investing in the health and well-being of others. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Siddeeq built a health and wellness consulting business and has over 12 years of wellness coaching and consulting experience.

Degrees: BBA in Management with a minor in Marketing, New Mexico State University 2002

Research Interests: Strategy, service marketing, and internal marketing as it pertains to diversity, well-being, and employee engagement amongst frontline employees.

Elmira Shahriari

Elmira is a PhD student in Marketing department at NMSU. Her main research stream is focused on consumer health enhancement by shifting their food choices. Moreover, she is conducting research on consumer’s decision-making heuristics and biases.

Her five years of distinguished work experience in the manufacturing industry has significantly contributed to her success in bringing a flavor of real world examples to her students in the class as well as informing her research about the most appealing marketing trends in the industry.

Research Interests: Consumer behavior (food craving), consumer psychology, food marketing, shopper marketing, decision making heuristics and biases, advertising.

Yating Pan
PhD Student, Marketing
Entered PhD Program in 2017

Yating Pan graduated from Pepperdine University with a master degree in Global Business, and entered the Marketing PhD program of NMSU in 2017 fall. Previously, she has working experience in China Construction Bank, conducted in-depth research in the international business department, analyzed financial reports on Fortune 500 companies to determine their loan approval feasibility, and helped the senior manager with Key Account Management. Also, Yating has worked in Best in Nature Inc. at California as a marketing coordinator for one year, during which she constructed online branding approaches and developed seasonally social media advertising and promotion strategies. Her experience was focused on the marketing research on social media basis and international marketing basis.

Yating is currently working on projects related to social media marketing and advertising strategy. She is broadly interested in Social Media Marketing, Advertising Strategy, Marketing Management, Influence and Persuasion, and International Marketing.

Rozbeh Madadi

Rozbeh Madadi is a PhD student in marketing at the New Mexico State University. His research interests include branding, advertising, social media and networking. He received a BS in industrial engineering from Najaf Abad University and an MA in marketing from Shahid Chamran University. Prior to joining the doctoral program, he has been involved in different marketing research projects as a research consultant. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing chess and doing exercise.

Reza Fazli Salehi

Reza has several years of consultancy background in the area of Branding and Advertising. He has worked as a Marketing and advertising campaign developer in major advertising agencies of his country and has also worked for distributors of Johnson and Johnson surgical products. He has taught several courses, including Consumer Behavior, Branding, Advertising, and Business Communication Skills in several business schools of his country, including University of Tehran and Industrial Management Institute. His research interests include Self-Congruence, Social Identity, Brand Identification, Brand Personality, IMC Planning, and Global Brand Consumption. Reza has also given numerous lectures on Sensory Marketing, Advertising Strategy, and various Branding topics.

Lina Xu
PhD Student, Marketing

Lina Xu is a doctoral student focusing on consumer behavior in the marketing department. She received a M.S. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a B.S. degree in Engineering Management from Wuhan University of Technology. Her research projects explore how psychological distance influence consumers’ thoughts and experience. Also, she is interested in empirically examining web-based metrics as proxies to measure consumers’ attitude. Prior to joining the marketing department, she was a faculty member in China, teaching digital marketing and information systems over ten years.
