Accounting Masters Hooding Ceremony, Dec. 10, 2010

Part 1

Dr. Ed Scribner, Department Head, Accounting and Information Systems, welcomes the accounting faculty, the Masters of Accountancy program graduating students, their family and friends to the hooding ceremony and provides an overview of the program.

Part 2

Dr. Bill Smith, Assistant Professor of accounting, gives the faculty keynote address.

Part 3

Student speaker Isaac Peddy-Coart, a College of Business Student Ambassador and creator of an online tutoring service for accounting students, gives the student keynote address.

Part 4

Dr. Cindy Seipel, Professor of accounting and the Master of Accountancy program director, explains the history of graduation regalia and the hood.

Dr. Kevin McNelis, Assistant Professor of accounting, calls the graduating students’ names. Dr. Seipel hoods the graduating students: Brett Bauer, Koyel Gupta, Aishwarya Harinarayanan, Charlotte Lane, Rosetta Morales, Maura Najera, Isaac Peddy-Coart, Domonique Rodriguez, Stephanie Snodgrass and Jake Tetreault.

Dr. Scribner gives the closing remarks, including a brief history of the abacus, and thanking the students for participating in the Masters of Accountancy program.
