Alba Martinez is an executive at Vanguard, one of the world’s largest investment management companies. She leads Vanguard’s Education Markets Group which helps families across the U.S. with their college savings goals. Previously, Martinez worked for many years in the nonprofit sector. In this presentation, she will talk about using her skills as a lawyer and her experience in social service organizations to achieve success in the corporate world, and about Vanguard’s commitment to diversity.

Mike Grose, a Vanguard recruiter, and Lila Semrau, a very successful NMSU alumnae and Vanguard crew member, will accompany Ms. Martinez and will be available to meet with any student interested in learning more about employment opportunities at Vanguard.

Ms. Martinez will have two “open” speaking events:

Wednesday, April 7:

  • 6:00 pm, Guthrie Hall Room 103: Two student organizations (the Finance Club and the Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA)) are the co-hosts. All business students are invited. Anyone who is unable to attend the 2:30 presentation is welcome to attend this one.
