The final session of the Arts Convention will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, in Corbett Center, Doña Ana Room. Certificates will be given out to task force members and to Business students, as well as to the amazing line up of speakers who addressed this year’s convention.
Garrey Caruthers, the Business College dean, will give the welcome address and Jim Berry and Bill Mattiace, of Greater Chamber of Commerce, Kathleen Albers, General Manager, Symphony of Las Cruces and other will speak on what the city is doing to market artists and arts organizations so everyone makes more money in a creative economy. Roy Van der Aa also will give a talk on a brief history of The Ink, the only media that exclusively covers the Arts Scene of Southern New Mexico.
