Adolpho Telles (’71)
Adolpho owns a consulting company ART-MAS, LLC., that provides services to entities in the area off corporate governance and compliance with the U.S. law.
He currently is providing consulting services to Mexico’s national oil and gas exploration, development, refining and distribution company; an electrical energy company in Panama; and a large auto dealership located in El Salvador with operations in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
From 1977 to 2003 Adolpho was employed by KPMG. He was a member of the Management Assurance Services (MAS) practice in the Southwest United States and was responsible for all sales effort, recruiting, contract management, service delivery, service quality, coordination of Mexican and international resources to meet national and international client needs, and other practice related issues in Mexico.
Adolpho was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, August 31,1949. He is the son of Adolpho and Julia Telles. Adolpho has been married for 16 years to his wife Debbie. He has 5 children: Liana, Patricia, Art, Christopher, and Patrick, four grandchildren: Desiree, Beto, Devon, Diego and another is expected in September of this year.
Adolpho received his Bachelors of Business Administration with an Accounting Major from NMSU in 1971. Adolpho is an avid hunter. His love of the outdoors doesn’t end at hunting. He likes to water ski, snow ski, jet ski, hike, camp and fish. He has enjoyed visiting other countries for business and pleasure, such as Chile, Peru, Argentina, Panama, El Salvador, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia and Mexico.
Laura Conniff (’74)
Laura is a 1974 graduate of New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with honors. She is currently co-broker/co-owner of Mathers Realty, Inc., in Las Cruces, and co-owner of Leveldale Farms and Conniff F Cross Farm.
Laura was named as one of the Outstanding Young Women in America in 1978 and has received numerous awards for her service to New Mexico State University including the NMSU Foundation’s Branding Iron Award and the James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service.
She serves on the NMSU Board of Regents and is a past president of the NMSU Foundation and the Mil Gracias Society, a member of the Aggie Sports Association, serves on the Board of Directors of the President’s Associates, and is a member of the Business Advisory Council of the NMSU College of Business. She also serves on the First New Mexico Bank of Las Cruces board and is a founding member of the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Western Bank and the Mesilla Valley Hospice and as a member of the Investment Committee of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
Laura is married to Dr. John Conniff and has two children, Ryan Paulowsky and Sarah Paulowsky.
