Hoffman started with the college on July 1, 2014. He has an extensive background in business as well as in higher education, and comes to NMSU from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.

Being the first one in his family to graduate with a college degree, Hoffman stressed the importance of going to school. The opportunities he has had in his career would not have been available without going to college.

He feels the College of Business is in a great position to move forward and improve upon its strengths: a diverse student body, strong academic programs, and a passionate alumni base.

Hoffman is excited to be the new Dean for the College of Business.

He stated that there were many things that attracted him to New Mexico: the weather, the beautiful scenery, but the primary reason he decided to join NMSU are the many opportunities and potential for him to create value both in New Mexico as well as New Mexico State University.

Because of that, there is nowhere else that he would rather be.
