The 2009 fundraiser collected more than $2,200 for the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico.

Michael Morehead, interim dean of the College of Education, Garrey Carruthers, dean of the College of Business, Steven Castillo, dean of the College of Engineering and Robert Rhodes, interim dean of the College of Health and Social Services took part.

The Economic Crisis Initiative is a fund that was setup to be distributed to any Non-Profit organization registered with the Community Foundation. With the current economic conditions, many Non-Profit associations are not receiving the funding that they need for continued, successful operations. This fund is designed to assist those organizations through these times.
