The Information Systems program has a focus on Business Analytics that prepares you for a variety of administrative and technical positions associated with the information systems. Potential employers include information system service organizations, public accounting/consulting firms, manufacturing, and merchandising businesses, banks and other financial institutions, government, and others that rely on information systems to support their business

The program is a hands-on, small-class experience. IS students may also continue their education through the Master of Business Administration degree. Our graduates can contribute immediately to management and technical positions associated with the analysis, design, and implementation of an organization’s information technology (IT) function.

Our 100% online Information Systems bachelor's degree offers a comprehensive learning experience that will fully prepare you for your future workplace. The program is designed to enable students to gain a solid foundation in programming, forensics, digital security, and more while simultaneously preparing you for a successful career in technology.

Students in the Information Systems degree program at NMSU Global Campus will learn about the latest systems, programming, and trends including structured systems analysis and design methodologies; relational database management systems; structured programming techniques; object-oriented programming and development techniques; and the development of online systems.

Students specializing in information systems must take additional coursework beyond that required to complete the MBA degree program. All of the requirements (including specific courses, electives, etc.) for this concentration are included in the Degree Plan.
