While she successfully ran and grew InnerBalance over the next four years she also started a real estate company. She became a broker and has owned a real estate company in Las Cruces for almost thirteen years. She also co-owns R. Hines Construction Company along with her husband, specializing in superior custom homes.

Sandoval’s business success comes down to having a drive to succeed and working hard. She advised the Ambassadors that one of the key attributes she looks for in a potential employee is drive. They have to want to succeed; everything else can be trained.

Another key ingredient to success is a willingness to network and to get involved in your industry. Sandoval advised the Ambassadors that they need to have the courage to get to know successful individuals in their field.

“Don’t be intimidated to get to know successful people. Keeping your network alive is the key to success along with drive – especially in business.” Confidence is key but Sandoval warned that you can’t have a huge ego. “Be confident in your skills and know what you’re capable of; know your limits.”

Sandoval also advised the Ambassadors to get out of Las Cruces and see the world, something she did to see how she would do in a completely unfamiliar setting. Networking in a new location can be more enjoyable since you can better control and develop the way people view you.

Ultimately, Sandoval advised the Ambassadors to stay true to themselves, have the drive to succeed and work hard.
