During the Business Advisory Council meeting on September 18, 2015, BAC members provided mentoring and career guidance to College of Business students.
Mike Drexler (’87) led a discussion on interviewing tips and stressed how important networking is to getting a job –- especially right after graduation. Mike is a CPA and Partner at Clifton Larson Allen LLP.
Mike Rogers (’73) gave a walkthrough of LinkedIn along with examples of what a well-done profile looks like. He also discussed the potential advantages of using LinkedIn for networking purposes. Mike shared how he uses LinkedIn not only to network with fellow Aggies but also help students find employment after graduation. Mike Rogers serves as Vice President, Strategy & Business Development; True Influence.
Tony Martinez (Director of Community Engagement with Molina Healthcare of New Mexico) spoke about leadership and ethics.
Paul Mondragon, ’91 alum (Corporate Relationship Manager, BBVA Compass Bank), brought students up to date on how to dress professionally on a budget.
