Josh was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. He graduated from Mesilla Valley Christian Schools in 2006 and attended NMSU where he graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Business Management focusing on Small Business/Entrepreneurship.

He is currently a member of the Las Cruces Rio Grande Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors for the Amador Foundation. Josh is a member of the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce as well as the Green Chamber and Hispaño Chamber. He was recently asked to join the college’s Business Advisory Council by Dean James Hoffman and participated in the council’s bi-annual meeting earlier this month.

Josh spoke with the Ambassadors about his role as co-owner of Insta-Copy. Insta-Copy Imaging was founded in 1981 by Josh’s father. Josh joined the business as a managing partner after he graduated in 2011.

He told the Ambassadors that customer service is what sets Insta-Copy apart from larger competitors. One of his favorite activities as a small business owner is interacting with and getting to know his customers. He says establishing those personal relationships is the key to success when owning a small business.

He advised the Ambassadors to have an open mind about their careers and not to limit their options. He said they need to take risks and be willing to both succeed and fail.
