The New Mexico State University Alumni Association in conjunction with the student body has announced the 2012 Homecoming theme, Culture of Aggie Pride. The Alumni Association and the student body will celebrate their Aggie pride Oct. 24-27 with a series of events.
“Alumni leaders and representatives of the student body worked together to select a theme that would celebrate the achievements of NMSU, engage our community and showcase the pride of NMSU students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends,” said Tammie Campos, executive director of the Alumni Association.
Many traditional Homecoming activities will be held again this year, including reunions, a parade, bonfire and pep rally, as well as an Alumni Tailgate Party prior to the culminating event, the Aggie football team vs. conference competitor Louisiana Tech at 6 p.m. Oct. 27.
The Alumni Association dinner to honor its 2012 distinguished alumni will be Oct. 26.
