Typically, sales trainers use various techniques to furnish instructions on “how to sell.” In many cases, they deploy some combination of lecture, discussion, role playing, simulation, on-the-job training, and related methods. All these techniques are useful for imparting personal selling insights and perspectives on trainees. Nonetheless, alternatives to traditional training should proliferate.
