The New Mexico State University College of Business will host a June 17 event highlighting the legacy of Bill Daniels, a business leader and philanthropist, who died in March 2000. Upon his death, his estate transferred to the Daniels Fund, which provides grants and scholarships in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
The 10th Anniversary of the Daniels Fund will be celebrated at the eight partnering universities in the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, a program designed to instill a high standard of business ethics in graduates. As part of a grant from the initiative, the College of Business will receive $1.25 million over the next five years to develop a principle-based ethics program.
The event at the NMSU Golf Course Clubhouse will be linked to the other sites through a video simulcast. While there are no additional seats available, the public is invited to watch the live simulcast through a link available on the Daniels Fund website, http://www.danielsfund.org.
