Eleven New Mexico State University faculty members were honored with the 2004 Donald C. Roush Excellence in Teaching Awards at the university’s Spring Convocation on Monday, Jan. 12.
In addition, the university’s first Outstanding Student Retention and Graduation Award was presented to Stacey Willmott, coordinator of athletic academic programs.
The Roush Awards, named for a former NMSU executive vice president in recognition of his 35 years of teaching improvement in New Mexico, are based on information from students, department heads, deans and branch campus directors. This year’s recipients are:

Susan Cardenas, Department of Health Science, College of Health and Social Services.
Jiming Chu, Department of Health Occupations, Dona Ana Branch Community College.
Cathy Kerska, Division of Business, Humanities and Social Science, NMSU-Alamogordo.
Ming H. Li, Department of Mathematics, NMSU-Carlsbad.
