WHAT: The first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge will take part in New Mexico State University’s first Domenici Institute Forum.
WHEN: 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7.
WHERE: PSL Auditorium inside Anderson Hall on the NMSU campus.
The first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge will take part in New Mexico State University’s first Domenici Institute Forum from 9-10 a.m. Oct. 7 at the PSL Auditorium, located inside Anderson Hall. His talk will focus on national security and will be followed by a question and answer session.
Ridge, the nation’s first secretary of Homeland Security and former governor of Pennsylvania, currently serves as the president and CEO of Ridge Global, an international security and risk management firm, headquartered in Washington, D.C. From 1995-2001, he served as the 43rd governor of Pennsylvania. He also served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Domenici Institute Forum is designed to be an extension of the university’s yearly Domenici Public Policy Conference. Its goal is to engage the public and encourage them to take part in the discussion on issues of public interest, specifically when it comes to important policy matters. The Domenici Institute plans to hold forums regularly throughout the year.
