In addition, Mr. Yu-Lin Chen, Secretary of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, also accompanied the visit.

Dr. Lichung Jen, President of NTUB, led Dean Jui-Chih Wang of the Business School, Dean Hsu-Hwa Chang of the School of Management, Dean Sheng-Lung Peng of the College of Innovative Design and Management, and Dean D’Arcy Caskey and the staff of the International Affairs Office warmly welcomed the guests, and had in-depth discussions with the NMSU delegation on various topics such as business education development, faculty-student exchanges, and academic cooperation. In particular, the two universities exchanged views on the possible dual-degree collaboration in the graduate and doctoral-programs and the undergraduate bachelor and associate-degree programs, demonstrating a high degree of consensus and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

In his speech, President Jen said that he was very much looking forward to having future cooperation between the two universities, and hoped to have the opportunity to send faculty and students to NMSU for advanced study and research. Interim President Mónica Torres said that it is an honor to connect with NTUB establishing mutual partnership, which provides unique opportunities and resources that, in addition to the exchange of students, the interaction and collaboration of faculty and students from different environments will help each other better understand how to live and work in a global society.

The visit ended successfully, and the two sides agreed to first sign a cooperative and exchange agreement, and gradually expand the cooperation of the academic program(s) starting with the exchange of faculty and staff. As a university with a long history and international influence in the Southwest region of the United States, New Mexico State University's visit not only demonstrates its determination to establish a long-term partnership with NTUB, but also brings new opportunities for academic and cultural exchanges between the two universities.
