MBA Concentration: Finance

The MBA Finance Concentration was developed in response to employers’ interest in students with broader skill sets in Finance. The concentration allows interested and motivated MBA students to advance their knowledge and abilities for employment in the corporate finance, or investment areas.

Requirements

MBA students specializing in Finance must take additional coursework beyond that required to complete the MBA degree program. These requirements include four graduate-level Finance courses beyond the MBA-required Finance 503. One the four graduate-level Finance courses may be used to fulfill the MBA elective course requirement. Furthermore, the four concentration courses listed below can be used as substitutes for MGT 512 and BA 590. As a result, the Finance Concentration can be completed with only 3 additional credit hours beyond that required to complete the MBA degree.

These courses are NOT offered every semester. Completion of the courses for the Concentration will be spread over a Spring and Fall semester. Please meet with the Finance Department Head to plan your course schedule.
